1. About us

This website, ifitscreations.co.uk, is run by Samantha Eley-Kemp, a sole trader trading as If It's Creations ("we", "us", "our").

We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on our prices.

2. These terms

These terms apply to every order you place with us. Please read them, along with our Returns & Cancellations Policy and Privacy Policy, before ordering. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website when you place your order is the one that applies to it.

3. Who can buy from us

We currently sell to customers in the United Kingdom only (England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man). We cannot accept orders from, or deliver to, addresses outside the UK, including the Channel Islands. This applies to both physical items and digital patterns.

You must be 18 or over to place an order.

4. Our products

We sell:

  • Digital patterns: downloadable PDF files.
  • Crafting kits: physical kits posted to you.
  • Handmade items: finished items made by us, many of which are one-of-a-kind.

We try hard to show products accurately. Colours can look different on different screens, and because handmade items and kit materials are made or sourced by hand, small variations from the photos are normal and are not a fault.

Kits may contain small parts and sharp tools (such as needles or scissors). They are not suitable for young children unless stated otherwise, and should be used with adult supervision where appropriate.

5. Placing an order

  1. Add items to your basket and go to checkout.
  2. Check your order, including delivery charges, before paying.
  3. After payment you will get an email confirming we have received your order. This is not yet acceptance.
  4. The contract between us is formed when we dispatch a physical item (and email you to say so) or when we make a digital pattern available for download.

We may refuse an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we cannot deliver to your address. If so, we will tell you and refund you in full.

6. Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Delivery charges are shown before you pay. Payment is taken at checkout by our payment provider, SumUp. We never see or store your full card details.

If we discover a mistake in the price of an item you have ordered, we will contact you before accepting your order. You can then confirm at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

7. Delivery (physical items)

  • We deliver to UK addresses only, using Royal Mail or another courier.
  • Delivery charges are flat-rate and depend on the size of the items in your basket. If your basket contains items of different sizes, you pay a single charge for the largest. The charge is shown before payment. Digital patterns have no delivery charge.
  • We aim to dispatch within 3–5 working days of your order. Delivery times after dispatch depend on the service used. Commissioned items have their own agreed timescale.
  • Responsibility for the goods passes to you once they are delivered to the address you gave us.
  • If your parcel has not arrived within [10] working days of dispatch, please contact us and we will help.

8. Digital patterns

  • After payment you will receive a download link by email. Your patterns are also available under My Account → My Patterns. Download links expire for security, but you can generate new ones from your account. There may be a reasonable limit on the number of downloads.
  • When you buy a pattern you are buying a licence to use it, not the copyright. The design and pattern remain our intellectual property.
  • Unless the product page says otherwise, patterns are for personal use only. You may download and print the pattern, and make items for yourself or to give as gifts.
  • Some patterns come with a different licence, for example a pattern released to support a charity, where you may sell finished items. Any such licence is stated clearly on that pattern's product page and in the pattern file, and it applies to that pattern only.
  • You may not: sell items made from a personal-use pattern, share, resell, copy, upload or distribute the pattern file or its contents (in whole or in part), or claim the design as your own.
  • Before you can download, we'll ask you to agree that you want immediate access and understand that you lose your right to cancel once the download is available (see our Returns & Cancellations Policy). This doesn't affect your rights if the file is faulty.

9. Commissions and custom orders

  • Commissions start with an enquiry through our website. Because every commission is bespoke, we'll reply with a written quote covering what we'll make, the price and the timescale, and we'll agree these with you before your order is confirmed.
  • Work begins once you accept the quote and pay a 50% deposit, which covers the cost of materials. The balance is due when the item is finished and before it is posted. Payments are made by secure SumUp payment link.
  • Because commissioned items are made to your specification, they cannot be cancelled or returned for change of mind once work has started. Your rights for faulty items are not affected.
  • If you cancel before we have bought materials or started work, we'll refund your deposit in full. If we've already bought materials specifically for your commission, we may keep enough of the deposit to cover their cost, and we'll show you what was spent.

10. Faulty or incorrect items

If an item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us at hello@ifitscreations.co.uk, ideally with photos. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected by anything in these terms. See our Returns & Cancellations Policy for details.

11. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account password secure. Please tell us straight away if you think someone else has accessed your account. We may suspend accounts that are used to breach these terms, for example by sharing pattern files.

12. Reviews

Verified customers can leave reviews of patterns and kits they've bought. Reviews must be your genuine, honest opinion of a product you've bought. We publish reviews whether they are positive or negative. We will only remove or decline a review if it is offensive, unlawful, includes personal information, is spam, or is not about the product. We do not pay for, or offer incentives for, reviews.

13. Our liability

  • We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.
  • We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for business losses. Our products are for domestic and private use.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

14. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including designs, patterns, photographs, text and logos, belongs to us. It may not be copied or used without our permission.

15. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (for example postal strikes or severe weather). We will let you know and do what we can to reduce the delay.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of the place where you live.

If you have a problem, please contact us first at hello@ifitscreations.co.uk. We'll do our best to sort it out quickly.
