Pattern licence

When you buy a pattern you're buying a licence to use it, not the copyright. Each pattern shows its licence on the product page, in your order email, and in the footer of the PDF.

Personal use only

This is the standard licence. You can:

  • print the pattern for your own use
  • make as many items from it as you like, for yourself or as gifts

Please don't:

  • share, copy, upload or resell the pattern (paper or PDF)
  • sell items made from it

Personal use, and you may sell what you make

Some patterns (for example charity patterns) also let you sell the items you make. You still can't share or sell the pattern itself. Crediting If It's Creations as the designer is always appreciated.

Custom licences

A few patterns have their own wording, which is shown on the product page.

Your personalised PDF

Each PDF carries your name and order number. You can download each pattern up to 10 times from your order page or your account. If you need it again after that, just get in touch.
